Re: Car wont run. Need help
Forgot to ask, How would I test coil? The car idles spot on for about 30 secs which is why I was thinking it is sensor related or electrical somehow, is nice to know for future ref though how to test it.

Car wont run. Need help
Hi all. my car will run ok for approx 30 seconds then it starts to run rough then stalls after approx 40 secs to a minute... Any suggestions? I've tested the afm as per a bgb manual description and it's ok. I have no codes logged. I will test idle valve tomorrow if I can find multimeter specs. Could...

I have engine apart at the moment as well so also looking into rev 3NA inlet cam+pulleys and whether it is really worth it or waste of time.

Re: Supra CT26 with MR2 CT26 Exhaust housing.
nope. I am collecting the rev3 bits I need. I have the injectors already and knock sensor on way soon, I am trying to source the rest. If anybody has ECU, Loom, air temp sensor... (IAT or AIT I can never remember which way round it is  makes sense either way), Lambda sensors, coil and ignit...

Re: Supra CT26 with MR2 CT26 Exhaust housing.
im hoping for 300-320bhp at the flywheel with the other bits I already have as well. long as it is ok to that im happy. if it does what people describe it does on the link above in regards to more mid range oomph and it pulls to 6k (though at the same time slightly more laggy but that doesn't bother...

Re: Supra CT26 with MR2 CT26 Exhaust housing.
What is problem with exhaust housing then? I thought as it was twin entry to aid spool it was better than leaving the supra housing on since the rest of the supra ct26 is bigger? I'm not being cocky I'm just trying learn whats what is all.

Where to get Intercooler fan and shroud it
Does anyone know where I can get an intercooler fan and shroud kit. I can get a 9inch spal fan that shifts over 700CFM cheaply but don't want to have to fabricate brackets and plates to mount it.
I have seen kits but can't find where to get them.

Supra CT26 with MR2 CT26 Exhaust housing.
I have looked on internet and found that the supra ct26 with the mr2 exhaust housing (to aid lower down response) is a possible mod for the mr2. I can't find what sort of power levels this would be good for though and if it would be too much for my current set up. Thoughts anyone? Anyone done this?

Re: Does a CT20 turbo from a Hilux fit a Mk2 MR2?
Just founds this on an IMOC thread. apparently the CT20b only exists on the internet it doesn't actually exist in reality. Thus my CT20 confusion on turbo dynamics. Think i'll hold out for a later MR2 turbo unit. Better yet, I'll post it here: FYI - 3SGTE 3rd Generation Turbo What turbo CT26? / CT20...

Re: Does a CT20 turbo from a Hilux fit a Mk2 MR2?
I considered that its only cos it is already all apart with cylinder head currently at engineers I thought it would be best time to tackle swapping one. Plus I'm a power whore .

Re: Does a CT20 turbo from a Hilux fit a Mk2 MR2?
hmm I'll email them. I would buy a CT20 but i'm on a tight budget. I've not found one for less than £280 other than one on ebay that went cheap with play in it. I might end up leaving my CT26 alone for a few months and just keep ear to ground for CT20 when I've saved up... pending cheapness of parts...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How do you lower the rpm's that TVIS comes in at?
Thanks Alan. The last owner of the car said he had it on the dyno and ran a 300bhp but it was blowing the spark out and detonating a bit so he took the boost down and was hitting a safe 280bhp instead... he can't find the printouts though. Everything he said about the car before i bought it was true...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How do you lower the rpm's that TVIS comes in at?
Paragraphs below are from 3SGTE Power Primer saying that you need to change the fuelling with the mods I basically already have, however if you have a CT20 to keep it stock and you'll be fine because of the extra air flow. Is this correct? It seems to make sense. I had my eyes on a CT20 anyway :) or...
