Re: If you had 5k how would you tune your MR2
ok, maybe i need to rephrase that question. I have a 92 mr2 turbo, and the engine is in need of some tlc. its starting to sound very rattly and noisy and smokey at times too. The body work is pretty much perfect as it has a full border kit fitted and had a full respray last year. The engine was repl...

If you were lucky enough to have 5K burning a hole in your pocket, how would you spend it on your MR2?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Error codes 22, 24 and 34
the airbox has been removed from my car for the best part of 3 years and this is the first time i have seen this.

Also, just on a separate note, refitted my std recirce valve, and the car feels so much smoother and responsive

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] over fueling like crazy after fitting decat
thanks for all the suggestions, but im going to refit the std cat. Ive weighed up the pro's and cons, and as im not after too much power, the std cat will reduce the noise level, give me slightly better fuel consumption, and keep the boost in check. as all of these problem only arose after removing ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] over fueling like crazy after fitting decat
I have an xs 3" down pipe i think, which has been slight modified at the top to stop the waste gate from fouling. Its a std ct26 turbo (no shaft play) and an hks EVC V controling the boost. Even with it turned off std boost is nearly 13psi. Have you thought about tightening the AFM spring a cou...

[Mk2] [Turbo] over fueling like crazy after fitting decat
i've had this problem for a while now, but im running out of ideas. Since fitting my decat and nur spec, my car seems to be running very lumpy at low revs and when my foot is planted and boost creeps over 13psi, its starts to misfire and pop and bang like crazy. Also, the plugs are very black and su...

[Mk2] [Turbo] 11.7 ps1 without EBC
Hi. I have a 92 rev 2 turbo, 70,000miles, xs downpipe, apexi filter, blitz nur spec, and std plugs. Recently ive been experiencing a loss of power, so yesterday i decided to remove my ebc to see wot boost pressure im running std and it read 11.7 on boost gauge. Is this normal? Also sometimes when im...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Blue Smoke on Idle
Evening all.
Over the last few days, my car has become increasingly smokey, and it seems to have lost some power.
The smoke is at its worst wen im sitting at lights or in traffic, but once its moving it seems to clear up.
Also the plug tips appears to be excessively
'suity'.
Any ideas?
