Re: 1992 MR2 Turbo

I'm not devaluing just pointing out to potential buyers that those sills look like they're near renewal. I did mention that in the add and the price I have been quoted for all the body repair work. The reason I was thinking of the price hike is also as someone has said, the market has now changed. ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Knock sensor 52 error code

A new sensor has fixed the problem but I have turned the boost down to 12psi as a precaution. It's slow now though! Lol

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Knock sensor 52 error code

Ok from what I can gather it is running lean due to a mixture of too much boost, too high an air/fuel mixture or the timing is too advanced. These are the symptoms of knock so I either need to Reduce the boost pressure Buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and lower the ratio Does this sound abo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Knock sensor 52 error code

I use Vpower and also when i was on track apparently it was spitting out flames quite regularly which says to me it's using too much fuel so the air/fuel ratio doesn't sound right? Don't know how to change that though?? Also I replaced the knock sensor last year as it went faulty bug I used a second...

My Rev2 turbo engine was rebuilt 5000 miles ago and is a standard rebuild with the usual breathing mods and the boost is upto 1.1bar. Not had a problem really up until I went to Silverstone to do a track day. Since then this...

Re: Fans on all the time? (sorry if this is old..)

Thats interesting. The guy i got it off is an MR2 enthusiast and swears its ok to be on all the time.. Any definitive answer here..? This is fine, my car is set up for the fan to be on constantly when the ignition is on. Personal preference but i believe it keeps things running a little better. Don...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Code 52....Knock Sensor Signal

So is there nothing to check other than replacing the sensor? What about the knock sensor signal? how do you check that?
