Good to hear from you Pete.
Can you text me how much you would charge to do the repair for me and also if you can do it at my place. Bit worried to drive it to you for obvious reasons.
Thanks

[Mk2] [Turbo] Heater Pipes from Hell
Hi Guys, So one of my heater pipes have cracked, giving me a water leak. I know this is a common fault. So I looked around and I can see 3 solutions. 1. go to Toyota and spend a fortune getting it replaced with new and I know they now put something in place to stop it happening again. 2. Get replace...

Re: JAE 2014 - Attendees List
Hi All, As my new MR2 has passed MOT and is now roadworthy, with only a couple of bits to finish off, I would like to once again make an appearance at JAE. I last had an MR2 6 years ago and used to come to all the events, IMOC, MR2DC etc and did promise myself a couple of shows this year if I could ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ongoing troubleshooting to get the car firing up
think it was just a couple of connecters not in correctly we disconnected bits and bobs and plugged it all back and it started up. just in the process of filling the coolant and bleeding it up at the moment, then on the brakes and clutch so doing well today so far. have noticed the rev counter not w...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ongoing troubleshooting to get the car firing up
ITS ALIVE
So got the car fired up, engine sounds sweet, no knocks or lumps.
seems to be overfueling a little but will sort that.
So next is filling up the coolant, sort the brakes and replace brake/clutch fluid.
I think we have a winner.....

[Mk2] [Turbo] Ongoing troubleshooting to get the car firing up
Hi All, As you may know I am currently rebuilding a rev 3 turbo. I had an issue in that the car would not start, discovered that the ignitor was missing completely. I have now installed the ignitor and it still will not start. I did not replace the coil that came with the car so could be that. We ar...

Hi Peter,
Don't suppose you would have an Ignitor for sale would you?
Any ideas where I could get one if not? Assuming they will be pricey from Toyota.

Re: rev3 fitting 180mph clocks and deristricting?
So it seems to be the case that there isn't currently a way to do this?
I have seen HKS to a fuel cut defenser but not sure what that will achieve.
I have also found a kph to mph converter online
http://www.svaspeedos.co.uk/
Anyone else know of anything better that is available.
Thanks

Re: rev3 fitting 180mph clocks and deristricting?
Hi All, Sorry to go back to this old post, however, it does not seem to answer the original question and I have the same question. In my car that I am rebuilding it still has the 110 clocks in it which I would like to change and de-restrict without it compromising anything else. So can it be done, w...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 Rebuild project - Help needed
Hi All, I am currently putting back together a rev 3 turbo that had the engine swapped and was an unfinished project of the previous owner. Whilst I have a friend who also owned mr2's previously he is working from memory so we get stuck from time to time. I have put some pics on a website showing ou...

Re: Back again
That would be a great help if you could. Really I need a few pics so I can see where all the hoses go. if you have any pics from underneath that would sort me out even better. Also if sometime you fancy a ride into York where my friend lives so he can have a look I would be happy to compensate you i...

Back again
Hi All, After selling my beloved MR2 Turbo 5 years ago I have recently purchased another one as a bit of a gamble. its a 1995 Rev 3 Turbo. It has had an engine replacement and been off the road for a number of years. Lucky for me I have a friend who is a mechanic and a former MR2 owner as well. So a...
