With the MX5 ones... I drilled out the hole with an 1/2" drill bit and it pulls out a steel penny washer in the process. With the washer out and the hole enlarged, the boot fits over the rod very tightly!! If that sort of work (or bodgery!!!) bothers you, it might be best to go with the ones in...
