Re: Rev2 tubby vs 911 GT2

Steve Cordiner hammered one at Elvington a year or so back in his rev 2 turbo. He was running about 255 brake. Graeme I doubt it was a genuine GT2 then. Either that or he was just pootling round. It was at TOTB actually Lauren, so I'm sure he was a one careful owner type. I over took him through 2n...

Re: Mitsubishi GTO

GTO TT's are good for 13's on the quarter at around 100mph, similar to MR2 performance. Not astoundingly quick above that though when you compare it to say a Supra

Its the ultimate dyno because you can't fudge physics, the higher the power, the higher the trapspeed.

Precisely!!

12.5 1/4 mile at 110mph
12.5 1/4 mile at 120mph = much more powerful car, less good driver :D

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 87mm engine build

Also I think we generally do drive our cars harder here, Nissan sold 50 or so official R34 Skyline V-Spec's in this country and they added oil coolers on the diffs and a few other bits and bobs as we drive our cars much harder in there opinion, they probably know better than any of us! That's nothi...

Re: TVR Cerbera 4.5 - British Brute

Yup, driving a boring hatch back at the moment. I had quite a lot of debt to clear after my tubby turned crispy and I'd just bought my flat so I had to go with the sadly sensible option for a while.

I may come back ;)

Came on to see the results!

Not as good as I'd of hoped tho.

Surprised you're so shocked at the result against the lambo! Two years ago I over took a 911 GT2 going down the 1/4 mile at TOTB

Re: 272 cam base (start point) timing

Use a degree wheel mate ... it's the proper tool for the job. A few degrees makes a huge difference with cams.

I found with a staggered HKS combo, 272 in / 264 ex it can be well worth tinkering with the exhaust cam to bring the power on a little sooner!

Re: TOTB 1/4 mile times?

mr2's were never going to score well on the 1/4 mile will all the supras etc. He he .... what have a 700hp supra and a 400hp supra got in common ...... they both run 12's in the 1/4 mile \:D/ Shame no one has posted an 11. These big turbo people would do wonders with a little shot of nitrous ... it...
