Re: Problems are like buses!

How can I test it? I have multimeter if and D grade competency at all things mechanical if that helps. I have read of instances where there were breakages in the wire charging terminals. Is this something that is easy to switch out? One thing I have discovered that I hate about the car is trying the...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Sills.... a sticky???

I think someone was looking into it. I know there are templates kicking about.

Can't remember where I found this image but this is the sort of kit that I would love to buy.

Problems are like buses!

Hi, Been fruitlessly trying to get my MR2 ready for MOT this week. Unfortunately I have been plagued with errors and can't seem to shake them or resolve them. Will try keep it brief: Car has done 8 miles in the last year. Essentially garaged for that time. Since then all my electrics (windows, foldi...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Fitting Sideskirts

The majority of the weight is supported by the rub strip bolts. The skirts will have a similar bolt hole layout to the standard vents. The front end can be screwed in with the same screws that hold the black plastic arch protector thingy. I'm fairly sure you'll have to take those off for the front e...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Fitting Sideskirts

That guide to remove the vent is all you need. The rest is a doddle.* Basically just do the vent steps backwards without the vent.

*subject to how good the fitment of your skirts are!

It's a 1.56GB zip file, is there anyone who can host it?

Drop box?

I wouldn't mind a copy!

[Mk2] [NA] Burning smell from exhaust/engine

Hello, I'm planning on getting my 2 back on the road this week (mot/insurance/tax). It's been off the road for the best part of a year although as it's in a private car parking area I have able to drive it around at about 5-10mph every few months to keep things moving. Recently the yellow oil can wa...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Dash lights like a Christmas tree!

Sorry to jump on to this thread but this sounds similar to what I'm currently experiencing. I thought it was my battery. But it's not. Except Paulhilluk, you sound a few steps ahead of me on the trouble-shooting. Also sounds like you know what you're doing. Unlike me! Being devoid of mechanical/elec...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lexus Rx300 engined Mk2

it actually works pretty well with the Carribean blue plenum he has chosen. I think that looks more like zircon blue. Anyway, I'm wondering how do these compare in real life with the 1mz-fe and 3vz-fe? Is there a lot in it? Would sourcing the engine/car bring the price down much in terms of offsett...

Re: Yokohama AD08s

What's the price differential? As far as I can tell, the only difference is we'll be getting a better tyre...? Unless the R is less highly rated for wet/cold use. Theoretically it'll be better. But not sure in what aspect. Yoko UK don't have the official product spec yet! They said the same thing t...

Re: check this Ferrari/MR2!! Looking good!!

I love that diffuser on the mr2,is that available to buy? Rear diffuser/toms combo is a robbrookes one. Check on MR2OC for some more pics. I was spying that a little more than the ferrari too! Although if I really must, go on then, I'll take the ferrari for £2k. That's how much MR2s go for these da...

Re: Yokohama AD08s

Oh well either way. So long as they don't jack up the pricing, I was already looking at 700+ for a set for the RX7 :pale: Just to update... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pXBux6psPac I don't think there is going to be any crossover with the AD08 and AD08Rs. The latter is...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lexus Rx300 engined Mk2

So is this the future for v6 conversions? By that I mean 3vz-fes are getting harder to find, there's some debate over the gains opting for a 1mz and the 2gr is still way too expensive. Am I right in saying that this is the best way to get 'modern' engine practicalities (the VVTi bit) with the balanc...

Re: Ridiculous Insurance and trying to get to 15 posts.

Is your car heavily modified? Admiral and a few other places insisted that they couldn't quote me unless my car was garaged nightly. And yet, contrary to that I have read posts on here say that some insurers increase a premium stating 'there's more chance of damaging the car in the garage'! I someti...

Good bit of info that chart.

As said - from my dealings with brokers it's down to postcode.

London is a no-go! I'm in an N/A with light mods but currently have had quotes ranging from £450 to £800!

I'm fairly sure that's what the guy was saying. But there is apparently some product crossover when the new one drops.

One things for sure, no one has got 205/45/16s!

Actually got through to Yokohama.

Apparently the AD08Rs are coming in now. So currently no stock on the AD08s.

Grr, so I have to wait now because I say on my ass too long. Let that be a lesson to you all.
