[Mk2] [Generic] JDM fog light wiring - deleting external fog

Hello, I'm about to do the fog light within the existing brake lights mod. So that is the two inners act as a fog when switched on from the cabin and stay on. The two outers then work as the brake lights. Conversely when the switch is off all four act as brake lights. I've seen the wiring diagram fr...

Glass colour - any UK differences?

Hello, Currently changing my windscreen due to one big ass crack in it. Going through insurance company (Ageas Glassline or something like that). The fitter was telling me the glass on a UK rev 5 is blue and conveniently he had one from an order that didn't need it (it was an import - so he knew his...

[Mk2] [Generic] Electrical gremlin - advice required

Hi, So after a few years away I'm back in the fold. Car has been sat for the best part of a year. I'm almost MOT ready but I've got a few issues to resolve. My dipped lights aren't working. Neither are the indicator lights coming on off of the stalk. So firstly, are these likely one and the same iss...

Re: Camskill droplinks - any good?

Just took delivery of the blueprint camskill ones.

Good to hear they're beefier. Hopefully will eradicate the clunking and last a while.

Camskill droplinks - any good?

As above really. Just wondering if anyone has experience of these (good or bad)? Got put off the Delphi ones as I saw a few pretty negative reviews of them. As opposed to 'they're alright...' etc. I'm going against my plan of Toyota genuine parts only but given a pair is less than the price of one T...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Wiring picture request - four light fog mod

Hello, I'm a simpleton when it comes to electrics. I recently broke my external fog light - it was pretty rusted up to be fair. So I decided I'd do the concealed four light mod. So I've seen a few wiring diagrams and have got myself the relevant 5A diodes. But the wiring diagram still confuses me. I...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Mr2 Sills

ideally would like a complete kit. Cos if outer sill is messy then just wait til you see what's on the inside!

The outer sill shape doesn't really matter if you got aftermarket sideskirts, right> Or am I missing something, such is the desire to get the profile just so.

Re: Wheels - style or substance?

I have both. I will run the Advan SA3Rs for now as I do like how they fit. Plus they raise the front bumper a bit more to stop me from wrecking it. I will keep my Buddy Club P1s as I do like them and I guess if I ever go the coilover route then I can get the lowering and rake that I would want for t...

Re: Wheels - style or substance?

Thanks for all the responses. My research shows that 16s are the optimum. My 1st world problem is that the Buddy Clubs are way light compared to the Advans. I don't know if that is just because of relative jump to 17s or if Advans are generally heavier. My TE37s did feel different compared to the st...

Wheels - style or substance?

I've just fitted (well partly) some 17" Advan SA3Rs. They look lovely and fill the arches very nicely (after squeezing, literally, past the Toms sideskirts). In doing the swap I did however notice these were waaaay heavier than my Buddy Club P1s. Now those are 16" so I get there will be so...

Re: TRD kit fitting vids&pics

hows this progressing? Slow lol. I have collected all the parts i need to do my rev 3 ecu conversion and hope to start that soon. Also just brought my new wheels which i went totally out my comfort zone style wise(no dish) and would probably be throned upon by most but wanted to see for myself what...

Racer7, what are you thinking? 3D printing and wind tunnel testing? I might be able to get it printed actually.

Not quite! A bit more low brow, 3d printed MR2 paraphernalia for myself since my car spends most of it's life in the garage!

Would be nice to remind myself I do have one.

Is that the sort of thing you'd be able to 3d print from? You can see where I might be going with this!

[Mk2] [Generic] Does anybody change rear spoilers like changing hairstyles?

Hello, By the above I mean that if you fancy having your car look different a quick way to alter the overall appearance is by changing the spoiler. I have a Rev5 spoiler and now a TRD spoiler. My plan was to keep switching whenever I felt like it - like a hairstyle - but with all the gasket sticking...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Help! Blown fog light/brake lights?? MOT tomorrow at 7am

Thanks Mikey. Those fuses are in the driver side fuse box and it was me connecting things like a tard that blue the fuse (did it twice just to confirm! ) Sorted the brake lights but after blowing the fuse again I have established that whilst the little button comes on the fog light does not. ...

[Mk2] [Generic] Help! Blown fog light/brake lights?? MOT tomorrow at 7am

Hello, I was tinkering with my fog light switch which wasn't working after I think I put the spade connectors on the wrong way. Whatever I did it's now affected all the rear lights including the high level rear brake light. Logic tells me I may have blown the fuse but I don't know if they're seperat...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Apex lowering springs?

Ace! Thanks stu.

Do you think it's the tyre profile that is key to reducing that gap?

I run 45s and some of the pics I've seen seem to have the cars sitting a lot higher than yours. I'd be more thank happy if the stance was as yours is!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Apex lowering springs?

Thought I'd recycle this thread rather than start a new one since it's related to Apex lowering springs. Just wondered if anyone has any side on profile shots of the MR2 on the 30mm lowering springs BUT with 16 inch wheels. I've seen a fair few pics with them on 17s and the arch looks cool (in my op...

Re: Love of my life!

How did you get them home mate? Did you utilise the passenger seat out method?! You might not need to take the seat out. I have had a set of 15s in the car with a 50 profile tyre (or maybe 55)- 3 in the front and one in the frunk/spare wheel space. It'll be a squeeze for sure. I took one of the t-p...
