Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Need some advise

Yea I was thinking of doing that. I think the problem is a really basic problem that someone with mechanical experience could sort out no problem. But obviously Im not that someone with a bit of mechanical experience so I dont know. Im hoping maybe I can get about £1500 from it at least? And even s...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Failed MOT, help needed within 3 days!!!

I cant imagine it'll be anything other than your bulb for the brake light. You can usually tell by taking it out and looking at the filament to see if the metal is broken. Head light is pretty easy to do yourself. Which side is it? There are IIRC 2 screws beside the light unit, pop them up and take...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Good price for HG Change?

It all depends where you go and also what HG you buy too. A standard Toyota one isnt much but a decent metal one (advised as it'll last longer and take more punishment) is over £100 alone IIRC. As for changing a HG on a Fiat and an MR2 - I would say there's a whole world of difference. My mates has...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Sheered Stud From Hub

As far as i can tell, you should be able to tap it out like that yes, and then new one will be thread > spline > flat round head, getting fatter as it goes, so if you pass it from chassis side outwards, until it locks (as long as you get the splines on right) then you can tighten up wheel bolt to pu...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Good price for HG Change?

I say snap his hand off. IIRC the usual price for HG work is around the £600 mark. Yeah iirc rogue's quote was for £750+vat Im tempted to give it a go myself but easy way out is very appealing  plus will get my IC fitted that way too, not to mention mate owes me a favour so is going to come p...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Sheered Stud From Hub

Ok quick search looks like they go out towards the chassis rather than out forward like most studs :) 90942-02049 is the part number, not expensive iirc. blurb from my own experiences To change the wheel studs on the MK2 you just take off the calliper and rotate the hub round til the stud lines up w...
