Re: who'll change a clutch for cheap? (in liverpool or nearby)

Or you could try Tom via the forum (profile link below). He's sort of a mobile MK1 specialist and the only other person I allow to touch my car when I don't have the time and can't move my car. He can travel to wherever you are and is currently based up near Manchester. http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums...

Re: who'll change a clutch for cheap? (in liverpool or nearby)

Hi mate. If you don't mind taking it to Southport there's a place called Yates' Motor Engineers on Hart St.. They are currently building a MK1 track car and have serviced and maintained all my MR2's (MK2 Turbo, Mk2 NA and Mk1). Their names are Martin and Lee and will never charge over the odds, espe...

Started the strip-down today, pleasantly suprised.. almost!

I started at the O/S/F corner, almost every nut and bolt was a nightmare, but got there in the end. Inner arch and chassis leg looks good and solid, which was a pleasant surprise! http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a47/Nige_B/DSC00379.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a47/Nige_B/DSC00377.jpg Only p...

Will a 20v auto bolt up to mk1 5spd?

Might have aquired a 20v but its bolted up to an auto box. Is it just a straight swap for my mk1 box?

Ah good point, hadn't really thought of that. I've seen them listed for the Mk2 though, so it must be doable

Re: Perspex windows

I suppose I could make my own. I'd like them with sliders though (too lazy to do them myself) lol. All depends how much they cost I suppose Cheers guys, I'll have a look at those links :thumleft: edit: Can't seem to find them listed on those sites but sent email out. I'll report back the prices if a...

Car Cover

I've been looking for a decent cover as I need to start work on the MK1 but don't have the luxury of an indoor workshop. Had a look on ebay but the universal style ones just don't look of the best quality tbh. I found this one: http://www.carcoverzone.co.uk/stormforce-luxury-car-cover-fit-toyota-mr2...

Well done for admitting it, it takes a real genuine tit to pluck up the courage to admit to a mistake like this. It helps others to avoid such mistakes.

I saw this run at NW stages, in fact I'm sure I've got a video on my phone somewhere. Was pretty impressed, especially at how it progressed up the ranks :thumleft: . It wasn't Weeton that destroyed the box by any chance was it? I ran chase for a fiesta last year and weeton ended our rally! Where abo...

Re: Eibach Springs

Just one last thing. Anyone ever tried BC-racing springs (see www.bc-racing.co.uk). They look better then Koni's in every way and only cost a little more. Pillow ball top mounts not rubber, Height adjustable at the lower mount so you don't mess damper travel up, spring adjustable, camber adjustment...
