Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] external wastegate hoses ?

The middle port need's to be connected to the compressor housing and the top to a boost controller of some sort, you need the top connected because this open's the wastegate using charged air, the middle connection stabilizes the diaphragm inside the wastegate you can run with out it connected but c...

back onto the hone/glaze busters topic. :) The glaze buster and hand honing tools is pretty much the same tool, the difference is the type of stone used. The glaze buster stone is very fine and designed to add the crosshatch pattern in the cylinders without removing material for fitment of standard...

Yeah should see a good result, I wont be running as much boost as you though, 1 bar at the most or rotary goes POP. heard you had a problem with your manifold, sorted yet?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Pist'on broke

The cross hatch helps lubricate the top two rings by holding a thin layer of oil, preventing a vacuum is utter poo. The deglaze or honing process helps bed the rings in when running in a rebuilt engine

I say good luck to you Andy, its always good to try something different!! If you have the balls to go through with it then go for it! I hope it all works out for you I second that!!!!, Fair play I was going to try this myself soon with one of the kits supplied by peter, only around 20-21psi. person...

TD06

nice to hear its a good piece of kit, i will be geting one myself! just a few questions, how did you get on with inlet and intercooler pipes, did the use standard items or uprated? if so what diameter piping for the inlet side, also is there a support bracket requied for the turbo itself?

Re: 350-380 bhp with standard pistons

have thought about an upgraded HG, carn't see why u have to change the pistons if you upgrade the turbo and run high boost, as long as its mapped correctly and you keep an eye on things like exhuast gas temp, inlet air temp, boost pressure ect. i see if you run every where at full boost, flat out ra...

will i get between 350-380 using standard pistons and an ATS TD05 or TD06 kit, as long as the setup is correct ie fuel and ignition timing, also using Apexi FC, greddy intercooler, Walbro fuel pump, cam gears and air, exhaust upgrades. dont know whether to use nur spec or mongoose exhaust? forgot to...

Re: ATS TD05 or 06

Alright mate, cheers that puts my mind at ease, how you get on fitting the kit, any problems with oil feed and return lines, no extra unions or joints needed. how well does it go with the turbo on, iv'e all ways looked at those kits but never really heard any one going on about them, mainly greddy k...

ATS TD05 or 06

Any body got one off these fitted?, just wondering if its much of a problem piping up the intercooler with one off these, either using the standard ic or aftermarket, ie greddy, spearco ect. im fitting a kit to a rev3 just want to know if i need to have a pipe fabricated before hand.

Cheers
