Rolling Road Day - Well Lane, Sunday 24th

Post by michael »

Organised by Chris at the 200+ club but I believe there are still places available, always fun to watch and have a look over some cars anyway and these don't happen up north that much :)

A few of the cars signed up so far include:

Ford lightning pickup
Skyline R34 GTR Vspec
Evo FQ400

Well Lane Turbo Centre, Batley - http://www.well-lane.co.uk

9am onwards, 20cars max, £30 per car.

Please pre book your place if possible - [email protected]

Spectators welcome.

Sunday 24th like it says in the subject - probably should have said "this Sunday" or something.

No chance, I'm not going anywhere near that evil van of yours :)

I have one of my own at the moment, might bring the black whale though... just haven't swapped the alloys over yet and I'm embarassed of the track ones

You going as well then Andy?

with the amount of negative feedback about their rolling road compared to others and also some work that i have had done by them... i dont think i will step back into that place at all...

Everyone to their own.. just thought id warn you that the figures 'may' not be accurate compared to other places..

Just my opinion.. :-k

We've been through this before and I'd never consider having work done there but the dyno does seem to give decent results when they want it to - other days it seems like they are playing with the numbers to suit the owner or their own agenda.

For example we've had cars on dyno days I've organised there run very close numbers to the likes of the dyno @ Owens which is considered to be very accurate, today an EVO FQ400 did 402bhp....

Personally I'm of the opinion that dynos are fine if you use the same one each time but I agree with your thoughts and probably wouldn't go back to Well Lane for a dyno run because I've seen it done a lot better elsewhere and been a lot happier with the way my car was looked after too.

Anyway we only went to watch, it was more of a social thing, there was an MR2 there though, not one I recognised.
