group buy

Post by doeboy »

hi peeps, not interested in the group buy just to say that haywood and scott are wkd,i've got a rev3 tubby wiv a hks twin exit super drager exhaust, and it developed a hole in the flexy pipe so i took it to hayward and scott and they cut out the old flexy pipe and put a new one in, it was totally custom made and it looked better quality than the hks pipe that it replaced. 8) top company highly recommended \:D/ =D> :D  8)

What type of exhaust?

Post by zakkz »

Hi mate

I'd be interested in a twin exit job for my tubby - 4.5" slash cut, or possibly 5" if I'm feeling a bit brave...

Could you give me a bit more info

Thanks

the great thing about Hayward & Scott is that you can choose the type of system you want, the most popular is the "Y" shaped system (that is what the group buy if for) but you can choose the syle of the tip. i am not sure what i am going for, i was thinking about a quad but now i might just keep it traditional and go for a 4.5" twin exit......

for a full stainless steel downpipe system (3" Downpipe) and exhaust system they quoted me just over £700 hence the need for a graoup buy!

the exhaust system on its own is £450 full stainless steel! (without discount!!!!)

he said he will give us all a great discount, so it really depends on how many names we can get!

Cheers guys,

I'd buy a whole fully S/S system including downpipe. I suppose I better forgo the Manifold.

They made me cat back single exit with 3.5 inch exit 3 weeks ago and I had to get my own downpipe as they said they don't do them only cat replacement pipes. My single exit was £450+vat = £528. Quality is great, good place.

Not interested in the group buy but... I gotta H&S on my Rev3 Tubby, well impressed with it, very good peice of kit. Only downside was waiting 5 weeks for them to make it, was well worth it though.

Complete system for the NA.... Depends on the final price obviously.

Including De-cat?

I assume the N/A it will still be £450 but if it is a group buy we will be able to get big discounts!

Got to recommend H&S for their exahusts - they're excellent quality. John Luck and I worked with them to develop their first exhausts for the turbo, I'm likely to be going back to them for a system for the Roadster turbo project.

I'd be interested in a complete system for the N/A, again depending on final price though

I went from the H&S to the Nur and although the Nur felt more powerful and beefy, probably due to the racket it makes, the H&S had a special/unique sound to it, which i have yet to hear on the Tubbys.

I didn't realise how nice it sounded, until i was walking on the main road one day and i hear something whizzing past, thinking, god damn that thing sounds sweet as hell, until i realised it was my own car, which my dad had taken to the shops, LOL!

It has this kind of supercharged type noise to the exhaust, where it whines and burbles at the sametime. Kind of hard to explain. You just need to experience it first hand.

Oh and another thing, it doesn't drone at motorway speeds like most other systems do.

I can vouch for the quality of this system.

I maybe interested in one for a tubby.
