ok, ignoring the fact you have actually posted ( from another machine i guess ;) )

what system are you using, ie pc or mac

what browser are you using? internet explorer, mozilla, firefox

if internet explorer
click on Tools
then select Delete Files
then close

The do the old www.imoc.co.uk and then hold down Ctrl and then press F5

Let us know how you get on

If you're using AOL, some people have been having problems with the AOL browser.

I'd recommend downloading Firefox :

http://www.mozilla.org/

I'm using it to post this message.

In addition to what others have said, do you actually have an internet connection upstairs also?
If yes, do other sites work?

I was going to suggest some sort of software firewall issue, but as you can access other websites, that writes that idea off!

Do you get the same problem when doing

www.imoc.co.uk

as well as

www.imoc.co.uk/forums ?

You may have some sort of config problem or something (I'm clutching at straws here), so wonder if good ol' Service Pack 2 might sort some issues. A chum of mine couldn't access certain 'Googles' (i.e. google.co.uk, google.com), but could access other ones fine (google.ie, etc). SP2 sorted this, although don't ask me how... :)

Try installing and running ad-aware from

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Also if you havent got a decent antivirus proggy try this one:

http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/

You can also try typing this in start/run:

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

(as per this article: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=299357 )
allthough I'm not 100% sure that works on XP service pack 1. It won't hurt though.

Just out of interest, under where it says 'site not found' does it say 'Powered by apache' ?

Alex, no you haven't been banned here or anything :)

Seriously though, the problem seems to be with that PC, as you've posted here I guess using another PC showing things are OK.

Do the stuff Nelly has suggested (Ad Aware etc) and see if there are any bits of Malware installed on your other PC.

Do other websites load OK on that PC? There's nothing special about the IMOC-UK website ...

I had this problem the other day. It was working OK with AOL but not IE. I think what I did to make it work was delete the temporary internet files, cookies etc... and clear the cache.

restart the PC, then all should be OK
