Best Colour 92 - 94

Post by Cliff »

Am I on my own thinking that the yellow is quite a nice colour for the MR2?

Was this colour available 92-94?!? I haven't seen any for sale as of yet and I agree that it is quite a nice colour. :D.

(This was why I put up the "Other" option).

Hi Guys :)

New to the club as you can see. Have had 3 MRs in the past AW11(89 G) in Light Mica Blue for 6 years, SW20 in (94 L) in Zircon Blue for 6 years and SW20 (99 V) in Astral Black for a year. My vote goes to Zircon Blue -stunning colour.

Remember seeing a UK car (at Mr T) in about 99' so the latest MK2 shape in a Metallic Bronze, sounds dodgy but was stunning, wish i'd bought it now. Think Toyota called it Orange something or other any ideas? Pretty sure its on Gran Turismo 3 as well.

I've currently got a 04 Celica but seriously thinking of going back to a SW20 as soon as i can find a good low mileage one.

cheers guys and Happy New year.

Rob

Aha... the old photoshop trick eh! Actually prefer your current alloys. Black bonnet looks good though.

Would have to be N/A due to the amount of miles i do for work at the mo. Going to look at a Silver and Black R reg tomorrow - the one with the Diamond Cut alloys. Standard car as far as i know. Prob just get a HID light conversion and leave it pretty much standard. Silver wouldnt be my first choice of colour - in fact after black prob last choice :o . Nice low mileage Caribbean Blue would be perfect :D

Sorry for going slightly off topic guys on my first day!!!!

yeah probably best to stick to a na if you're doing miles in the mr2.

silver aint too bad, black is a pain in the @ss. my company car is black and i hate it cos it's constantly dirrrrty

dont worry about going off topic, i doubt anyone is gonna read this thread anyhow

Blacks stunning when its clean - but thats about 10 mins

Normally spend about 2 hours on the Celi each weekend, use P21S or Meguiars. Looks fantastic then drive round the block and dust city!!! Still looks clean but annoying. Toyota Black is so soft as well, the slightest bit of dust on the cloth and it scratches. :x Assuming it doesnt rain/snow i'll be giving mine the works tomorrow - wash, polish, wax etc.

In fact my Zircon MR2 and me  were in the 2nd edition of Japanese Performance mag - 4 page article on the Mk1 and Mk2. Now that was pretty easy to keep clean.................!
