Don't 180 in front of the police

Post by thevarn2000 »

I was just reading about someone doing 180 turns in their car this is one to talk about;

When my car was in good working order (MK2 Turbo) I let a couple of my friends convince me to go on a little cruise to Southend (BAD MISTAKE) I only wanted to show this silly boy he's M3 couldn't take on the power of my car anyway we turned of at the lakeside services for some fuel and they was winding me up telling me my car was under powered and it didn't do good donuts, so to shut them up I started doing donuts thought it was funny on my third spin i looked over my shoulder and about 1000 metres away from me there she was this nice white car with a blue flashing light by shear fluke I came out of the spin THE RIGHT WAY headed straight for the Dartford Tunnel and I managed to get home and dry before I got caught that was my Donut career over it the space of 5 minutes but it gave everyone a laugh.

Indeed, the new forum seems to have attracted a certain type of owner - maybe the Q&A was the way forward afterall?

Almost! or just a forum for normal car enthuiasts! not (race enthusiats / chav enthusiast / ahem drifting in the petrol station/ doughnuts in the petrol station 1000 metres away from the police. Yeah its getting abit boring, imoc was a class act before hearing this tosh every day.

Yeah...only way to stop that is too moderate more....old IMOC needed no mderation really cause these type of posts were rare. Now that they are common I wonder is stricter moderation a good thing? At least in the General, Mechnical, Mod sections??

Problem is when we moderate more than people seem to complain?

Bit of a catch 22?

I am interested in hearing opinions on this.

perhaps you can create a chav rooom or something similar, thats on seperate link, where these numbties can talk tosh all day long without the real enthusiats seeing it! the point is the real enthusiast love their cars and take pride in driving them, to here about people behaving like a chav in what many of us consider to be a classic is really irritating and destroys the the enjoyment of driving such a car.

For example, two young guys in and escort pass the police, 8 times from ten their gonna get pulled, due to the reputaion of the car, do we want to be having this problem!

Can we appoint Mike as chav moderator??

So when ever a chav is on imoc, he gets to ban their ip address :D

Its a privately run site, so it doesnt have to allow muppets on it haha

I have that policy on my own forum, a young chap signed up last week and posted a thread looking for an engine - I edited his message to remove text speak, spelling mistakes and bad grammar before emailing him with a few useful links.

It's no wonder I have no members and no messages over there really :)

This ladies and gents is plain stupidity, how can you allow such a public display of dangerous, irresponsible and illegal driving be allowed to be unmoderated?

Here's your reward "thevarn2000" for sinking IMOC to a new all time low:

Makes me embarassed to even think I was considering buying another '2 for track days :oops:
