Pics of my MKII revision 5

Post by Ne0 »

Here are some pics of my ride. :D It is a '99 MKII N/A with only some minor changes:

- red painted calipers
- 94+ US spec revision 3 taillights with red side markers (not shown on the pictures)
- clear corner lenses
- white side repeaters
- Remus exhaust (meanwhile I got me a SuperSprint)
- shortshift
- Goodridge brakeline kit
- EBC sport brake pads

This year I will get me some Aerowave side vents, lowering springs, new rims (17 inches) and finally I'm planning to swap to 3S-GTE...

I hope so... thanks everybody. Maybe I will install a Border Racing front bumper (and of course new sideskirts and another rear bumper), need to think about it :?

Very nice!

First time I've seen someone go for the crystal clear front sidelights when they've already got the Toyota clear ones as standard - the crystal ones do look a lot cleaner though :)

That's right. I had to modify the sockets of the lights. Unfortunately it didn't fit (if I had the amber corners, it would have fit without modification :x) Maybe that's the reason why most people don't go for the crystal clear ones when they already own the white ones. But I still got the Toyota clear ones in spare because the crystal clear ones are not street legal with its amber light. Just in case
Next week I will setup my new crystal beam headlights

I'd rather swap to 3S-GE Beams if I'd come across one. But that's even harder than finding a 3S-GTE that's in really good condition!

I'm sure Patrick (Rogue) could certainly sort you out there. I considered a similar engine swap before I bought my tubby.

Does Rogue Systems offer 3S-GE Beams too? That'd be great! :)

Yep:
1998+ 3SGE BEAMS VVTi (Redtop) - sourced on request £2,500.00

http://www.revision6.com/usedparts/dono ... ontent.htm

I much prefer the BEAMS over a turbo too.
But I wouldn't go the engine swap way as it's the rev5 G-Limited goodies that I'd want too - passenger airbag, smaller steering wheel, climate control etc etc etc

Thank you! :D I'll refer to Rogue Systems as soon as I can afford a swap 8) Indeed, climate control would be a nice feature
