Main parts it failed on were brakes and exhaust which is good as i will be replacing them anyway.

So, fist job will be bushes from SBits which will be ordered in the next couple of weeks. Then I'll paint up the chassis sections while replacing the bushes.

Thanks Matt.
That's about as good as she looks as id just polished her.
The bodywork isn't too bad but paint is shocking.

Same red but with a metallic flake in it. Carbon wrapped plastic trims and I'm hoping the give the t-bars a red tint to blend them into the roof. Rev 3 rear lights, wheels and spoiler. Black indicators, removed side repeaters with custom ones fitted to the wings and crystal headlamps. Think that's all for the exterior but i may change my mind while viewing ebay. :D

Popped over the garage to drop of a few bits that will be needed and grabbed this.

Friend at work is going to make up a metal plate instead of the plastic one to hold it flush against the door card.

Brake hoses are coming from Hel performance hopefully this week. Brakes are on order. Paint will be purchased at the weekend and I've told the wife I'm going to the garage on Sunday.
I'm hoping to give it an standard rev 3 look with a few custom bits thrown in. 8)

Spent the afternoon stripping the rear end down.

After

Took a while to remove the metal strips with the pointless plastic screws, but overall a good day. Only a very small amount of surface rust around the aerial hole and the lower bumper mounting bolts which is easy to repaint.

I think it might be the original and definitely needs replacing. It's so corroded inside it's become soft. Has to bigger 8)

Sounds alright to me as long as studs on uk strips are all in tact :thumleft:

As normal (well for me anyway) I have changed my mind.
I have decided not to keep her red and have picked a car colour i like from a different make. That way it is still custom (sort of)
Brake hoses - swing arms etc are still going to be red as i think it will look nice with the new colour. :oldtongue:
