Toyota rip off again

Post by crazylegs »

Just been to my local toyota dealer for some front ball joints for my mk1 (1985).They want £58 +vat EACH!! Thats about £135 for a pair of ball joints! They are so generous they throw in a new nut and split pin.
I`d want the bast..ds fitted and chrome plated for that! Any one know where I can get a good quality replacement? The later ones are easier to find but not the early sort.Whats the difference?

How do Kev, I replaced all mine when I did the suspension and I paid 85 quid with the vat for all four. I just rang round all my local autofactors and to get prices first. I did find, as mentioned already, that the rear ones were much more difficult to get hold of. hth.

yep i`ve rung round they are ranging from toyota prices to £15. so i know where i`m going monday.where do toyota get such stupid prices,if they were sensible i would have spent my money with them.you would think they would want a reputation for quality and value for money instead they seem happy to be known as robbers.
