BGB

Post by kaiowas »

Anyone got a source for these other than hoping one turns up on eBay?

I want a paper copy rather than an electronic one.

hmmm... I got a copy of all three manuals of the BGB with the Mica blue car I bought a month ago....

I'm not sure if i'm going to hang on to them or not (depends how much SC stuff they cover), but someone said they paid £100 for their set from Ebay....

I don't know if you can buy them new anymore... :-k

Thanks all - anyone able to give me a price from the DC site? It won't tell me unless I log in, which not being a member and all is a bit tricky.

Leigh, the book that the DC sell is merely the Haynes manual which is a US version.

The DC cannot provide the BGB. Two options either buy a CD from ebay or buy an original BGB proper. Mark paid £120 for his, though his covers the SC as well.

You can normally pick up bodywork ones pretty cheap for a tenner or so but they are limited use.

Sorry Lauren, although I already have the Haynes Manual and they do indeed have the haynes us manual for sale, it does state:

"Mk1 - AW11.
Combined engine, chassis, electrical and body manual. This replaces "The Big Green Book""

Price is 120.00 inc delivery

I'm happy to stand corrected however

Its probably a new thing they've just started doing... In any point I prefer to print off the pages and throw the oil stained pages away when done!

I've got both and the combined version is pretty readily available off eBay USA - for alot less than £120 I dare say.

Its a big 300+ page blighter and covers the SC in quite good detail.
"If in doubt - just make the numbers up!" ;)
