Yep thats the problem
I have bought from auction a 2003 MR2 with a 6 speed SMT gearbox. Drives beautifully, aprt from no 5 & 6 gears.
Toyota have diagnosed a broken selector fork (it fell out when they took the gearbox plate off!)
The technician who did the diagnostic was very vague about a repair!
So is this possibly
1/ Just replace the fork.
2/ No hope the geabox is dead and buried.
3/ Somewhere between the other options.
Car drives quietly no gearbox noise.
All ideas appreciated.
(is there an intro section somewhere?)
Thanks

Personally, I'd simply replace the fork in the first instance....?
Then you will know if anything else is fubarred?
Chances are, it'll be tickety-boo....

Send Paul Woods a pm, i know he had an SMT box for removing the LSD out of, dare say he'll have the bits you need.
