JAE Time Attack Karting IMOC Team

Post by Lauren »

Okay Scott has suggested I take charge of this part of JAE.

The criteria is: Time Attack Karting - Team event - 5 people per team, one of which must be female and from same club, one team per club please

Apparently there is no cost involved, ie it's free. Given that it is required for a female to be in the team i'm going to put myself up as i'm more than competent when it comes to karting.

Could others who wish to be part of the team please list their names below. It will be a first come first served basis, so if you fancy it get your name down!

Well I haven't got much (read that as any info) but a time attack karting would suggest that we'll be trying to set the fastest time in a kart. So it doesn't look like it'll be a race.

What we need are some very quick karters who can do it. :+:

If you want to put your name down, please add yourself from my first message.

I suggest we keep a slot open for Cassie (Sketch) she is apparently very good and also weighs about as much as a small bag of crisps.

Well when we visited the JAE site and watched the Go-karts on track, they didn't look very powerful at all Dave. Nothing like what you get at a proper kart track anyway.

I think they're predominantly for kiddies

I think they're a little better than that but not much. They're certainly not 'proper' karts unless the JAE organisers are getting some brought in especially.

Their on site karts are these:

(Warning: possibly the most crap and pointless video on YouTube)

Low driver weight will certainly be a distinct advantage!
