Lexus IS200 Alloys

Post by Castlegrayskull »

I understand these would fit straight onto my Mk2 tubby?

if so ... where would I get Toyota Centre caps to replace either missing or Lexus ones?

Also .. what would be the recommened tyre combination?

cheers

Yes they should fit straight on.I would imagine any reputable alloy wheel company will get the you the centre badges, usually they are £8-£10 for a set of four.As for tyre combos assuming the Lexus wheels are 17" i would go for 235/40/17 on the rear and 215/40/17 on the front. That seems to be the set-up alot of the guys on here run.

lexus is200 has 215 as standard on those rims, So wouldnt 235 be a bit too big for the rim?
the centre cap has a funny shape and you cant buy them with toyota logo on it from toyota.
the rear wheels sit slightly too in the wheel arches, i have fitted 5mm spacers,
front tyre needs to be 40profile as 45profile will rub against the suspenson
i got 205 front and 225 rear the ride is a bit bumpy,

a better standard wheel is the Mazda 6 17" Sport. u will need to reduce the bore size with those plastic clip things and spacers are required. Mazda do a couple of wheels but the better one is from the sport model.

these go well with the lines of the 2 and probably be cheaper than the Is200 ones.

just my 2ps worth.... the lexus ones are nice.... just not as good as these!

as REDMR2 said, i had the lexus wheels on my car a while back. they look ok. i had 205/40's on the front and 215/40's on the back but i think 215's on the front and 235's on the back would have gone on.

Cheers!

Agreed, Think they'd look very nice on the mk2, What are the width & offset though, I also like the 5 spokes off the Mazda3 Sport and we had some in work not too long ago but they were 6.5x17 and i think they were et48 :(
