Hi Guys,
Only a suggestion but what about having a chat room on this site,where we can all talk together and have a laugh,"and to talk about our daily activites with our MR2s" Because when i PM people its takes so long,
What is everyones opinion on this?

i think that this is a really good idea, a place where everyone can talk in real-time. It also adds to the human element and it will be easier to meet/talk to new people.

I think its a good idea and chat rooms can be good fun, however it would need monitoring all the time and the good thing about the board is you dont miss anything.
Mike - good point. I've raised this one with the other Admins to see if potentially they'd be prepared to monitor a chat forum.
At the moment though, the development effort will be focussed on getting the portal finished and the premum membership features .. once that is done we can come back to look at feature requests like this.
Just to let you know - I'm going to setup a chat facility on the test server this afternoon / evening and check that it works alongside the current site.
If it all looks good I'll roll it over to the live site shortly after that.
BTW - this will be a stand alone chat, not integrated into any of the IRC channels.

i think this must be the only negative thing about having a chat room - stuff will get discussed, knowledge exchanged but anyone who is not in the chatroom at the time will miss out

Its still on the radar - at the moment we're just testing Esmond brilliant new Garage feature, getting to the bottom of paid-for site memberships and doing the sub-forums modificiation. I'm working with Dave on the Portal, and we have some good news on an IMOC insurance scheme ..
LoL... Just because you haven't heard from us in a couple of days, don't assume we've forgotten - we're probably just a little snowed under at the moment (!)
