TRD Show car - Rebild & Re-spray in Candy Red

Thought i should start a thread for the Project car.

Have owned the car for about 1.5 years

started like this:








and currently looks like this:

i will update in more detail as i start to do the car up more and more ready to get it to some shows at some point.

last few weeks been gathering parts for an engine bay tidy up.

how it was when i bought last year, bit dirty:


After a few weeks tidying up last year i got it to this:


now decided to improve it some more:





polished housing and heat painted:



Forge actuator and braided water and oil lines:


hopefully put back on the car tomorrow

Finally got my JAP spped exhaust system fitted, actually touching the TRD bodykit tho, so gona get the ends changed on the back boxes.



And attacthed the 4-1 Manifold onto the turbo.



And it all fitted along with a few new hoses etc. Just need my glass boot cover pack from the sprayers now......

what did you do with the original plastic bit that was between the lights?

were they just modified for reversing lights?

dont suppose you still have it?

I sold the rev 3 lights and centre section, sorry

hopefully get the custom boot lid back this weekend

and then im gona crack on with getting the interior finished

My New wheels have arrived! Need to sort some good rubber now, what sizes should i use?

18" X 8" FRONTS

19" X 9.5" REARS




Also means the wheels on there at the moment are for sale, mint condition, 18" x 8" DTM alloys

And also got my custom engine lid back from the painters, awaiting on the glass panel before i can leave it fitted to the car

well the snow hit! so put a hold on exterior!



But not gona let that hold up progression to much, so started gettin on with the interior, think the new gear know setup looks alot better.

What do you mean by handbrake setup??

Am I right in saying your based in Yeovil? Think I have seen this car recently....

Where did you get the cam cover painted I need mine done soon and don't know anywhere local!!

Yes i am. its not been on the road for bout 4 months tho? ?
soon to return once weather clears up.

Cam cover i done myself, sanded back to metal, used heat paint primer and then pick a top coat colour

Im after a new handbrake handle, does anyone know of an aftermarket 1 that wil fit? prefrably in silver/ polished finish.????
