Just spoken to him literally 5 minutes ago, discussed my car, it has a few niggles like needing new windows and rev1 abs hub and a few other bits I want sorting by September time, and then Pete can just keep hold of it over the winter as a forged build project. It`s been there since after Japfest 1 at Silverstone this year but I know how busy Pete is and I`m not in a rush, it is a frustrating thing but specialists are thin on the ground with these cars, need to clone the man!

I`m not bothered if it takes until next spring now, it may as well stay there. Just want it back spot on for next summer so I can go to Japfest and be happy that my car is to the standard it should be, every time I get to Japfest my car either has some imperfections or is massively dirty because it just came out the work shop or is not running right. Time to get serious with it and have it right for next year.

Cool. He's had mine since last September, but to be fair he said he wouldn't be starting it until that October/November. It's now August 2016 and we're still not underway

The problem with big builds or projects is that unless you have everything ready to go you end up starting, doing a bit, stopping, ordering bits. waiting to arrive then start on it again when the daily usual work has dried up a bit.
I've had a 350z here since prob Feb..Its nearly done but need a couple of days more spent on it.
I won't take on any project cars until the last one has left.. Oh apart from my turbo thats been sat outside since last August
Cars should be done by the agreed deadline but sometimes it doesn't quite work out like that.
Best things are worth waiting for?

The problem with Peter has always been the same and he'll admit it, he leaves everything to the last possible minute until he's right up against a deadline then tries to shoehorn more in on top.

He's a genuinely great guy who does an awful lot for members that results in no personal gain for him but sadly organisation is not a skill he possesses and things are always quite chaotic.

It's not right he's done more unplanned work before other cars especially if all the parts are there ready to go but at the same time you've allowed him to fob you off and drag it out

Pete was nothing but spot on for me between March and now.

And i was one of those horrible people that just added more and more to the list with the same timeframe.... and he just cracked on with it.

4) If the OP believes his/her post may be inflammatory and could cause problems the OP alerts Mods/Committee by hitting 'Report' on their own post immediately and gives the reasons in the report
5) OP/trader/Mods/Admin are allowed to post on the thread and constructive/helpful comments by others - all others will be removed without question
6) Thread left to run for 7 days
7 ) At the end of 7 days (or sooner if agreement is reached) the thread is locked
