koni adjustables with jamex springs only £160

Post by nick_w »

koni adjustable dampers and jamex springs, sold as strut assembly 3 of the topmount look ok 1 needs replacing
£250 this is and expensive set up brand new

i have checked the koni's and it looks like the oil seals may need replacing on the front dampers,
this can be done at a place called sportline suspension in brackley, who would give them a complete refurb for £80 a damper,

because of this i have lowered the price of the suspension to £160
once the fronts have been refurbed they will be just like brand new although i never noticed any differeance on the fronts when they were on the car but if you lay them on there side they weep a very small amount of oil past the seal

£160

Jamex aren't what i'd call springs, just coils of metal all touching each other under normal car weight..... worse than useless.

I think you have a filter set that whenever any post mentions those springs it warns you.

Your doing an amazing public service warning everyone!

Hate saying something negative on a for sale thread but in my opinion those springs are dangerous.

Identical to the pic i showed you before you fitted them, coils touching each other or very close to touching.

You can guess what happens everytime you hit a bump, they all clash together and the strut assembly becomes springbound.

Awesome work Jamex

Jamex Slinky's. They are fun on stairs though.
