Hi guys
Thought I'd enquire about the above.
I never really see anything on here for the norfolk or east anglian area and I see loads of MR2's (MK1 & MK2's) about.
I know a really cracking place that could put on a spread/buffet for us.
Wanted to guage some interest first before I said for definate.
Standards and Turbos welcome I would have thought. The more the merrier.
I for one would love to get mine rolling roaded to see what she's kicking out and check the old fuel levels.
Let me know what you all think. C'mon us tractor boys!!!!

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
I might be up for it. I haven't had my car long and i'm sure it's not as quick as it should be, would be interesting to see what it is doing.
Was it your car i saw Thursday night in the Sportspark carpark?
Is there anyone in the Norwich area who has a turbo that fancys meeting up? I could do with looking at another to compare mine with, i'm sure it's not quite right....

Hi james
I wan't in the sports park on thursday......I presume you're talking about the university sports park?
I was there last saturday.
Where abouts in norwich are you based. I'm dead in the city centre.
Mines a 1990 GT Turbo, and would be happy to meet up. I haven't had mine long, about 4 weeks, so would be nice to get to know other people!
I know a really nice place in Watton called emerald. I went there recently for a rolling road day with the local mitsubishi evo boys, and it was a good day out.
I'd love to see what mine is kicking out, specially after I get these mods on next weekend. Specially like to see what the fuel line is like. It was running very rich a while ago, but I was told that was sorted out.
Do you know many other people in the norwich area with an mr2?

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
I'm pretty much in the city centre too.
Yeah, i was on about the UEA sportspark, there was a white tubby parked up when i went there on thursday, it was the first tubby i've seen in Norwich since i got mine a few weeks ago (wasn't looking before).
I don't know anyone else with a MR2 in the area i'm afraid. Would be good to meet up though.

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
now you;ve got the mr2 you;ll see them all over the place. theres quite a few mk2's and a few mk1's about as well. Whenever you pass someone with a mk2 they'll always flash the lights or give a little wave. Which is why I wanna try and meet some people.
I'd be happy to meet up. I'm just next to sainsburys on queens road, just off traford road.
Can you put a picture on your profile, cos there aint one there.
Let me know where you wanna meet and when and I'm sure it will be ok.
If it's in the evening, we need somewhere with a bit of light so we can have a better look your car.

oxford dictionary definition of zombies:
Zombies: A collection of unique (law abiding) individuals who are renowned for terrorising the tarmac in and around the east anglian region.
Damn straight!!!!!

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
C'mon guys. I'm gonna need a few more people to attend than just one person.
There muse be some other tubby boys in norfolk who would be interested in this.
I'm sure theres some people out there who would like to meet other/new people in the area and find out and compare BHP's/check fuel lines etc........
C'mon people.......make an effort. Whats IMOC for!

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
I'd be up for bringing something along - I'm based in Ipswich, and know of a new rolling road near Martlesham as well as places in Colchester and Witham that we've done rolling road days at before.
I'll probably bring the Mk1 rather than the turbo along though just to check its putting out its book 120bhp

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
Thats fine.
I took my MK1 along to an EVO rolling road. Was the laughing stock really but at the end they were loving it. Kicking out 122BHP for a 17 year old car. Very nice indeed.
Bring the beast along mate, I'm sure she'll be well received.

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
Sounds good mate. Can you send us a picture of your car as there's not one on your profile.
Waiting for a couple more people to join and then I think we're good to go.
Might ask a couple of MK1's along as well.

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
lovely. Although I hope you don't mean a reliant or something.
Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
So just curious - where is the R/R that you're thinking of going to ?
My Mk1 is just over 20 now - a bit rusty and not that tidy, but still brilliant fun to drive. On the rollers it should be on for a book 120bhp or so ..

Re: Norfolk/East Anglian Rolling Road test
I only just sold my mk1. it was in mint condition and was mika blue. put in the rr just before I sold it and it kicked out 121.5bhp. fuel line was perfect. I was well chuffed for a 1987 model.
For the rr day itself, I was thinking about Emerald in Watton, but any other suggestions would be grateful.
