Project - Cosmos Eagle (New owner)

Hello everybody. Just started using IMOC, so i thought i would get my project copied over

This is my Cosmos blue (purple), Rev 5, N/A, MR2





After owning the car for a month and abit, i think, could be more I know what i want to do with the car, well a least for JAE 2012

And to get things going I have nicked the double din stereo out of the white MR2 that i use to co-own with wilkie senior as im bigger than him , Replaced the Grex gear knob (which i thought was horrible to use) for a nice carbon fibre one and got my tailored car mats in.

Just waiting for my carbon fibre sheet to arrive so i can wrap the spoiler pods and mod the midship runabout badge to have a carbon fibre background. Hopefully me & wilkie senior are going to have another bash at the amber delete conversion as we tried before, didn't get very far and left it.

Sun Mar 25, 2012:
While i was waiting for the BBQ to heat up as we managed a good weekend for once, got the spoiler pods wraped:



Then once it cooled, changed the midship runabout badge background. Huge thanks to wilkie senior for donating the badge and doing it :laughing


Wont be going on until i get the front bumper sortted tho

After trying this once and getting scared of breaking things :rolleyes: :no:
We tried again but came better prepared:

This baby is a homemade, twin powered babyliss furnace :cool1:


As you can see we fitted this with the obvious choice of a Babyliss 5548U and for back-up the BaByliss 5345U Travel Hair Dryer, which we later upgraded to a twin Babyliss 5548U setup (no pics i'm afraid )


Once we got one amber lense off, we got into a pattern and the rest fell off (we were doing 2 pairs of units) and here is the result without the triangles:


And with the red USDM triangles:

Really please with them, I think they really help bring the car up to date :th:

Mon Apr 30, 2012:
This weekend my dad found my old PS2 up in the loft and i thought i might aswell make use of it as you can't really sell them for much i decided to fix it the bit of the cubby box behind the passenger seat that dosen't lift up - Keeps it out of sight and a easy to get at :th:

As i wanted to do this without spending anything i didn't want to bother with an inverter and afrter some research, I found that the PS2 converts the 240v out of the plug to 12v anyway so i connected a live and negitive to the pins on the board, via a flick switch which i mounted to the side of the case. As I am linking it straight to the battery and bypassing the transformer the on/off switch won't work and i don't want to drain the bettery. The live cable were then linked to a fuse (don't want to blow anything!). Then it was just a case of laying the video cable to the back of the head unit and the live and negitive wires to the battery.

The result:




Works great and suprising how you don't loose any detail on a small screen and due to it being small the graphics looks better than on a big TV.

So with a break in the weather and abit of sunshine, which was nice :th:
I armed myself with a can of Tiger seal and got my carbon fiber S-Ducts fitted, again with another patented method:


and the results:




Think they look bob on. Luck has it that the carbon fiber style matched the wrap I used for the spoiler pods, so even happier

Just fitted some 6 SMD white units into the front sidelights just to get rid of the yellow look:

I've not been able to keep up with this because the MR2OC don't let non paid members see the project threads but now I can watch it develop.

Damn entertaining, things like the duel babyliss furnace and the 'shoe on a stick' clamp.

Having done the amber delete twice now, how would you fancy helping doing it on my live rev 3 lights? Live meaning, we phuck it up and I have no lights for rear of the car

Also, linky for the LED side light bulbs please?

It's just the clear lenses and to avoid the fried egg affect some chrome indicator bulbs

Due to the rain's consistent ability to get things wet and my engine lid's inability to stop the rain soaking everything.....I am taking matters into my own hand. Now I do like the look of the N/A lid on mine so I want to keep it if I can. So as the distributor cap got pretty wet last time the rain killed it i have made this:



I know there are no direct holes over this but it must run along somewhere between the double skin of the lid and come out right over the distributor
