Mikejc V's Mark Edwards

Post by Mikejc »

Myself and the good Mark Edwards will be going head to head on the 19th @ Santa Pod. No doubt you have read some of the playful banter between the two of us over the last few weeks on IMOC

Now i'm sure just like I would like to think i'll be walking away the winner, Mr Edwards also feels that he will be top dog on the day!

So for a spot of fun I thought i'd offer up this post to see what you, the good people of IMOC think might well be the out come?

Please feel free to add the why's as to your choice. I'm as i'm sure Mark is, looking forward to reading your thoughts

ive seen mark come past me and he is fast, but seeing you're going to have a bigger turbo and mapped i think you will win by 1/2 a second, although if mark gets his mapped and bigger injectors in time it will be very close.

Is there any cash on this? Just to 'up' the stakes a little bit, y'know.

All of this is based on both of us having our new goodies fitted in time...fingers crossed !

"No button for a draw", what are the chances of that....famous last words

It's already been agreed that the loser pays the winners entry fee ;)

there are only 2 votes in mikey, gotta learn to relax. His over confidence could his weakness

Of course with his driving stiles mark's gearbox might not make the 1/4 mile in the same state it left the start line

I think it's a tough one to call. Mike may well have more power but as both cars are having more mods between now & then who's to say they will both be running spot on without any teething problems.
Mark may well be more experienced which will probably tell in the end.
Good luck to you both

See Mike, you're getting pity already.

I agree you should have more power than me, but it probably won't be by that much. My advantages as i see them are... My tyres, diff and total lack of respect for my gearbox.

Not much more power lol If good old Fensport are to believed, I should end up with around another 40bhp @ the hubs. This being the case i'll be some where near 340 @ the hubs. Approx 370/80 @ the fly!!! True regarding the tires though.

That all being the case, their is every chance that my gearbox is gonna give up and blow up on the day

Interesting, i'm hoping for around 290/300 at the wheels with any luck so we won't be that different after all. :)

i really really pity that gearbox => power, torque and mark trying to kill it and he might take out half the crowd with the exploding gear fragments
