hello there, i have a 1995 Toyota MR2 GT 2ltr, its failed on emissions. The results show the following.
Fast Idle test :
CO - limit <=0.03% vol, actual=5.86% vol;
HC - limit = 200ppm vol, actual = 208ppm vol;
lambda - limit=0.970-1.030, actual=0.843.
Second Fast Ide Test :
CO - limit<=0.30 %vol, actual=6.49 %vol;
HC - limit<=200ppm vol, actual=263ppm vol;
lambda - limit=0.970-1.030, actual=0.820.
Natual Idle Test :
CO - limit<=0.50 %vol, actual=5.71 %vol.
i would really appreciate some advice on what part might be at fault before i start spending money on fixing it up.
cheers, Jack.

Re: help MOT emissions
Hi Jack mine failed the other day too but I got it passed on the re-test. All I done was put some cleaner in the car and then drove it hard, but under the speed limit, before taking it back to the garage so it was warm
