Thanks all for responding.

Yeah I am not keen on deforming the spring seat.

Other option is to switch from yellow Billie's to coilovers but as I'm happy with how the car is handling at the moment I'd prefer not make too many changes at once.

Any reason it has to be RE070's?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
It doesn't have to be but I'm looking for the stickiest possible tyre on the MSA 1A list that is available in a size that'll fit on an MR2.

Yoko AD08 used to work perfectly but they are no longer available, from experience RE070's come a close second.

Very frustrating that the majority of the high performance 1A tyres are not available in smaller sizes!

If you have any suggestions of another tyre I'd like to hear them.

From what I've found looks like I'm limited to:
T-1R available in 16"
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- performance not competitive
Kumho ku31 available in 16"
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- performance unknown
Kumho ku39 available in 17" suitable for MR2
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- performance unknown
Bridgestone RE070

+ others, only available in 225/45R17

Anybody got an alternative road tyre they've found particularly grippy? Or have tried the kumho ku31 or ku39?

Thanks
