golf

Post by The Morris »

im sure i post too often on here :D

I was driving home and a golf came flying up behind. It was a duel carraige way with a couple of roundabouts on it. I eased it out of the roundabouts in 2nd as it was wet and waited for the car to straighten up before flooring it. At this point he was almost in my boot. I floored it to 110 and only pulled 3 car lengths in front. I was quite surprised how well he kept up. It had a badge on the grill, it wasnt GTI ot RB32 and it was quite new and chunky looking. i thought id destroy it.

i had a similar boot with a golf GTi, not the new new one, but the one before.
we both came out of the round about and he was flying, i waited until i was in a straight line then put my foot down in second, caught up the 3car gap he had, and as soon as i got to 3.5k rpm in 3rd, i was totally gone!
bet he didnt know what hit him, lol!
i slowed to legal speeds as you do and he flew past with his misses giving me a cheaky smile!

yeah never knock the golfs.....my mk2 was rapid and i kept a scooby at bay a few years back now....just remember seeing him in my rear view mirror with his back end right out while i shot round the bend comfortably getting a couple of lenghts a head before quickly turning off into a close to claim the win nd chalk one up
