Hi
I have recently been having some problems at motorway speeds, difficult to describe but the closest is like having a flat tyre(which i havnt). Seems to be all over the road.
Any ideas
Many Thanks
Alistair

Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
defo get the alignment checked and check all the wheel nuts are tight
Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
would the suspension just go out of alignment like that?
Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
With time, yes the alignment will go.
Also check tyre pressures. Are you running non toyota Alloys ?

Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
running non standard alloys but they are toyota alloys, is200. had alignment done 8 mths ago. checked nuts. also did not gradually appear. only appeared on christmas day. havent smacked kerb or pothole or anything like that but have just had new rear tyres (eagle F1s). tyre pressures are fine.

Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
Are front and rear tread patterns the same? (ie have you got F1's on the back and something else on the front?)
Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
fronts are Yoko A539s, i thought you only tended to have probs when you put different tread patterns on same axle?
Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
Odd that it's happened all of a sudden
You're right that different tread patterns front & rear don't matter - it's only if they differ on the same axle.
Presume you checked tyre pressures too?
Some chav hasn't nicked one of your rev5 wind deflectors infront of the front wheels have they?

Are the offsets on the lexus wheels the same as stock MR2? This wouldn't help if they are not.
Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
I believe the offsets are the same, but have been running the wheels for last 15K with no problems.
I assume the wind deflectors are somewhere near each front wheel?
How do i check the anti roll bar mount?
Many thanks for your help so far

They're like miniture mudflap - but they're on the front of the wheel arch of the front wheels.
Car should be fine without them both, but without one then I guess it'd be a bit weird. TBH it's very unlikely you've lost one, but you never know...
Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
Wind deflectors are both there. Will have to get it up on a ramp and have a look at suspension.
Re: Handling Problems - Rev 5 Na
Similar thing hapened to me. turns out one of my bushes finally went on one of the back wheels. Not a big issue as I was in the process of changing them anyway, it just gave me the kick I needed.
