the offer starts tonight at 12am for 24 hours.
i kno its only a rental but its a good chance for anyone who hasnt seen a film in HD yet.
be interesting to see how long its gonna take to download all 4 or 5 gig of it when the rest of the UK is trying at the same time.
remember tho, you can set your 360 to download even when you turn it off.

I got this film free along with 6 others with my toshiba ep30 hd-dvd and it is a great film, even better in HD on my 50" plasma and 6.1 setup.

Excuse my ignorance but will it be as good as an HD DVD?

Ignorance is bliss.
Pain is temporary, pride is forever.

I down loaded it and watched it this morning.
Ok, I cave, HD is noticably different.
Who's gonna give me a oner for the HD drive then?
Although I'm a little concerned that the HD drive will play through the Xbox component cable where as a stand alone will play through the HDMI which I'm told is better?

Depends on your screen, some screens wont take full 1080p through component. I recommend the toshiba ep30 hd-dvd player, at £189.99 with 7 dvds its great value for money.

not 100% true
only real difference between 1080 i and 1080p is the way it refreshes the screen
Re: Reminder - 300 available in HD for 100 MS points
there is ZERO visable diff between 1080p and 1080i

Yeah I know that mate, but to the human eye watching it on the media we have atm, 720p will look slightly better than 1080i.

I did actually change the setting from 1080i to 720 and it DID look a little better I think.
