what cable do you use between the lappy and tv?


i use dvi to hdmi but it doesnt seem to get the res right so im thinking VGA might be the way forward.

Its just an S-Video Cable, (You can see it coming out of the side of my laptop just behind the 3G Card protruding from the side) but the TV has loads of ports...

2 Scart, 3 HDMI, 1 VGA, 2 Optical, 1 RGB, 1 DVI, 1 Component, 1 S-Video

The SNES Emulator is not that demanding so the S-Video can cope but for PC gaming i would use the VGA port.

I have 2 Playstation Pads here tomorrow, so i can get some Mario kart action

I love my 50" panasonic now ive got a dvi to hdmi cable, i can now watch films and play games in full 1080p res with 1:1 pixel mapping.

Most new teles have VGA input now anyway so just hook it up to the TV, plug in some quality speakers to the laptop/PC and your away. I watch all my Prison Break episodes streamed off the net this way so it's like watching it on the TV

totally agree.

probably one of the best things i did in my room was to hook my HDTV up to my PC on the spare DVI.

altho i jus bought a 22" widescreen tft for the PC so this screens hardly small
