Worried this morning. Got in car, turned key and BANG!
Really loud bang from engine! Had it happen a 2-3 times before but not half as loud and only when it was really cold and icey.
Popped engine lid and saw slight smoke (white) coming from K&N cone filter area.
Car started fine second time and fine all day. Ran perfect.
Any ideas people?

Re: Loud Bang!
fuel igniting in inlet...
usually more common with carbed cars, check ignition and cam timing, sounds like your getting the spark to early.

Re: Loud Bang!
I doubt that fuel igniting in the inlet would cause smoke to come out of the filter, you havent said what car you have tho, if its a turbo the smoke would have to go all the wat back through the throttle plate, intercooler then turbo, if its an NA then maybe
