MKII Turbo Front Strut Part Number. Need Bilstein?

Post by adrian_uk17 »

I have a Jap Import Rev 1 NA, i have installed replacement SPAX inserts, and they have given up on the front, i am unhappy with the ride and want to return it back to semi same spec.

I would like the part number for a rev xxx turbo strut, the bilstein ones, as these are supposed to be better. Can someone tell me which struts were the best, my understanding is that all rev1, rev2, rev3 struts are all the same dimensionally, does this also mean the top mounts are the same?

Any advice appreciated, i dont want to use inserts again as the securing nut is now a SPAX one and i dont have the olds ones so cant use the KONI kit :( Not that i want to as the ride has always been too harsh, like a GO-Kart really :(

Try fensport
http://www.fensport.co.uk
They sell the uprated bilstein sport ones, probably be cheaper than MrT

the rev1 as you know used inserts which you can replace with the Koni adjustables. Quite a few folk would buy the old struts from you while you buy the complete shock from fensport.

make sure you mention IMOC to get a 10% discount as at £130+VAT each and delivery you will need it

Well when i went in last time to toyota i remember it was about £95 all in for a turbo strut? So i would very much like the exact part number for a rev3 shock/strut?
