Just wondering where I can get some sump pan sealer from? Do I need OEM toyota or is there another brand out there thats just as good?

Also can anyone reccomend a decent solvent to dissolve the sealant that is suck to the sump pan?

Cheers in advance

Hi,

I used some high Temp Sealant from Halfords last time. Worked a treat and only cost about 5 quid!

To get the old sealant off a sharp blade for the worst of it and a scourer (not the steel ones) for the rest, did the job for me.

Geez...you guys are getting ripped off bad! I can pick up a tube of OE sealant from my local dealer for about $10-$12 US before discount.

There are some chemical gasket removers that you can use if you are very careful. I just use a razor and some fine grit sand paper.
