Tom, not being funny but are you *sure* they're warped? I've found after trackdays in the MK1 that you can get a bit of brake pedal pulsing, but that's in part due to brake pad deposits on the disk. Given a couple of weeks of normal driving the disks may come back OK.

Yep, they're definitely warped! Spoke to Jonny at BaT and he's never ever heard of anyone managing to warp an MMC disc! I'm just an animal on the brakes!

But things are looking up! Been over to my Dad's today to fix the Italinail (Fiat Coupe 16v turbo). Need to change the silly high lift inlet cam for a standard one so that it will pass emissions test and get an M-O-T and I can get it sold. Finally managed to remove the crankshaft pulleys after grinding off the bolt heads and extracting the remaining studs .

I can use the proceeds to buy a new set of discs at a bargain price of £1000 GULP!

Whilst I was there I let my Dad loose in my SC. He said he was going to the local shops, so when he wasn't back after 40 mins I was getting concerned. When he finally came back he had a huge grin on his face.

Told me he's simply got to have a big pulley SC and NOW! He's even talking about selling his X1/9 to fund it (unheard of). Well that's brilliant news! It means I don't have to hand over my SC in part exchange for the Lotus, means we can keep the Lotus in the family and there will be no more arguments about me taking my SC on track etc etc.

Well I'll pay virtually anything reasonable. I knackered my SC engine at a trackday at Elvington early spring, after which I agreed with my Dad I wouldn't do any more trackdays in it and would always use the Lotus. But at the IMOC trackday I took the Elise and knackered the front discs! So if I can find him his own SC, everything is sorted!
