The horror! Manual -> Auto supercharged

I have a supercharged mk1, this one:-

Now I have had this car for years and there seems to be little chance of getting a good mk1 replacement. Now i love this car and there is the problem.

Due to medical issues I'm going to have to go auto at some point soon.

Can an automatic conversion be done? Not worried if I have to alter parts. It would make me very very happy if something was possible If I can make it an auto then you'll be burying me with it, I'm 36 now.

Thoughts or ideas? Other than the screams of 'whyyyy man whhhyyyy?' hehe, I know but needs must.

It must be doable as there are auto superchargers out there.. Finding the parts I think may be the issue

Might be easiest way to buy an auto sc.. There is a couple for sale. Then swap the parts over and sell it off as a manual make ya money back

Never knew these systems existed and saves messing with the car. Reports of this type being driven in development by race drivers.
