Somewhat related, when I had to refurbish my center driveshaft for my Touareg, I just googled driveshaft refurbishment and took it to the enarest result. They were incredibly helpful and gave me some options and allowed me to just drop off the driveshaft. They refurbed all the bearings adn I picke dit up a few days later.

I'm kind of hoping it will be much of the same for the small outershafts.
