Check eBay for stuff like this. We have a Darth Vader one that doubles as a smoker (unintentionally) we bought from a bloke who did them as hobbies, converting old gas tanks. About £100 for ours.

Re: fire pit for JAE
We aren't even allowed a coal BBQ this year so a fire pit is a definite no no...

Re: fire pit for JAE
Well thats put the seal on JAE for me!!!!, if i could sell the hotel Ive booked I would give be giving it a miss, i think JAE is dying now, and the organisers seem only interested in prising money out of us
Well its a cumulation of things now but this is my last JAE for definate
I mean no BBQ, surely they will have a riot on their hands, whats different to last year!

I suggest posting your displeasure On the JAE FB page
Been told off ha ha well highlighted its the venue not the organisers, any idea what the reasoning is Scott
Oh well looks might be spending time inlocal pubs or driving through Macdonalds!!!
Goinf to be a bit of a damp squib no fire pits or BBQs isnt it?
Cant the club make some representations to the Venue?
Its as if your looking forward to the one show you attend and the fun police are out
flip im in full grumpy old fella mode!!

Re: fire pit for JAE
Brian, the reasoning is that a lot of sites have banned coal BBQ's due to increased fire risk as the result of the very dry conditions we've had up until a few weeks ago over the summer.
I must admit, I never use the club BBQ, preferring to buy my food from the stalls. Gas BBQ's are allowed, but it's a bit of a hassle to bring one of those.
They may yet lift this ban if it rains enough between now and then! Good chance I'd say!

Hi Lauren
Yep i realised after my old fart rant
No sleep + Post OP Pain + Cabin Fever = Grumpy old botty burp mode
I still think it was a bit over reactionary though, the difference between the wild fires that have happened & where are different to a tightly mowed open gran area.
But with the weather change, we will see how it is, I have bought a new fire pit for a, camp fire sit around in the evening, be good if the bans lifted as its more condusive to a good atmosphere outside i think.
I will have my 2 gas rings with me, but as we are stying in the holiday inn at the entrance, it will just be a food top up anyway grumpy chops here is better today I will learn to put my brain into gear before i go Keboard warrior ha ha see you guys there (thats is the body shop have finished the car tomorrow!!!)

Looks like they've repealed the coal BBQ ban. Still no open fires but Coal BBQs off the ground and with FE are allowed again.
