Post by rossonza »

Is it a different belt part number for a non-air conditioned car? Im removing the air-con from my rev 2 turbo.

Hold on....I've forgotten how it all came apart. Is there 1belt for the air con. And a seperate belt for the alternator?

Yes. And they both run on one pulley so u just remove the belt from the air con and the air con pump. No need to swap the alternator.

Crank pulleys are the same regardless of AC or not.

The pulley has two 4 rib drives on it, one for alternator (inner) and one for AC. If you don't have AC then the outer drive just isn't used.

Alternator belt is the same regardless of AC or not.

So whats the belt difference as per mr2 bens site for then?
Uess rozzanna read it wrong and one is a air con belt for the air con and one is for the alternator? Not both alternator belts?

I feel a right sausage..... I've clearly not fully read the description of the item.
