AW11 Supercharged MT with TRD bits Japanese Auctions

Post by SonicSW20 »

Grade 4B (very good for an old car!) Supercharged going through auction tomorrow - http://auctions.jdmauctionwatch.com/aj- ... rB28HE.htm

As well as being in great condition, it has TRD LSD, TRD Flywheel, TRD suspension, HKS 264 cams, hks hi boost pulley, HKS exhaust, Recaros and some other stuff probably!

Looks very nice, no idea what it'll go through for. Rare spec with those parts and the 5 speed manual :thumleft:

Looks like it could be a Super Edition, one of 273 made if it is. Need better pics really.

Quite possibly, someone on FB mentioned that as well. One for an importer to find out if someone is serious about it I guess!

Looks like it has the Momo steering wheel as well. Also looks like it has the right wing mirrors too.

That was me, I do think it could be a SE. The colour looks the same as mine. Also it llooks like it has all the additional items such as seats, door cards, momo knob and steering wheel.

Would be interesting to see how much it sells for.

Hard to tell due to the lighting, 167 Grey Metallic maybe?

Don't think the Super Edition colour is listed there, was JDM only. It's called 'Midnight Blue'. Can't remember the paint code.

Was it definitely a shade of blue? Doesn't look like there's a drop of blue on it in the photo, but as said above the lighting is tricky so it's hard to tell.

Closest I can find is 8B4 Night Blue Metallic which does look more grey than blue -

It was a one off colour for the Super Edition so you won't find it on anything else. It is a blue yes, but it's got some grey in it.

Not sure if that info is available publicly, doesn't seem to say on JDMAuctionWatch. They might know if you message them perhaps?

Well it sold (as in met reserve) but unfortunately no final price listed - http://auction.pacificcoastjdm.com/stat ... 29541016&s

It will have sold for a LOT of dosh. An extremely ratty '89 s/c (not SE), grade 3, 162k km, sold for 481,000 JPY last month - that's about £3.3k, so figure on around £5.5-6k landed in the UK with all taxes paid.

Cheers,
Jon

It's really hard to say wtih a lot of dreamers massively over valuing them. I would say £3.5K for something that's alright. Maybe up to £5K for a really good one. A little more for a SE if you can ever find one.

I bought an SC engine from eBay for £500, spent about £200 more on parts for it and now I've got a converted SC and it's quick as hell!
