Contacted Paul late week before last to see if he had a solution for my MK1 V6 tacho reading 50% high told me to send him the speedo/tacho unit.
Took it out last weekend, sent it to him Monday, arrived Tuesday got a PM later that day to say it was done, arrange courier to collect Wednesday, arrived back Thursday all safe
& sound with a potentiometer fitted.
Fitted it back in the car yesterday, little bit of fine tuning of the pot with the auto multimeter set to rpm
& now have a proper tacho again, think I need to just make another slight adjustment as when I hit the limiter which is 6800 the tacho was showing 6600 but I can live with that for the time being, Thanks very much Mr Paul Woods of Woodsport.
