MR-S Roadster in Black

Post by Essex2Visuvesi »

Time to pick on the new boy

Picking up a tatty by but mechanically sound MR-2 Spyder this weekend :)

Hopefully this wont be classed as sacrilege as I plan on modifying it quite a bit

Mods will include a turbo conversion and a bodykit..... But no ordinary body kit.

One of these!

Having dealt with the company before and built one of their other kits this one should be fun.
Having Finnish family (Wife is a Finn) the idea of a Group B rally car replica is too strong to resist

An RS200 rep with a 1ZZ-FE? Whatever turns you on I suppose

I'll be paying attention to this.

Like I said it's not for everyone. I may go for an engine swap but I think that once turbocharged the power should be "Adequate" as long as I can get some flames out the back in true group B Tradition

Also it saves it from the scrapyard

Looking at the wifbitz
http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/toyota/ ... o-kit.html

And the Black Label
https://www.turbokits.com/Toyota/MR2_Spyder/Turbo_Kits/
Whichever I decide will be with the Apexi FC as I have used it before in my Wife's Celica GT4 rally car

Theres also a turbo roadster with a blown engine on ebay as well that I have been considering buying and stripping for parts
