before cutting and splicing the wiring on my mr2 thought i would check if there was an easier way.

issue select reverse and voltage drops, engine fan lights comes on, deselect reverse switch off and on problem goes away.

having searched the forum on the various problems of reverse light switch and the black yellow ec1g wire, went to the car disconnect reverse light plug short pins, still no reverse lights and sure enough drops voltage as before.

checked voltage at plug and its there.

i am assuming then that i have a short on the feed from the reverse light switch to the rear light clusters.

my thoughts were to put a new cable from the switch to the cluster and cut out the possible damaged one, or does anyone know a better way?.
