The locking remotes that came with the car are round with 3 buttons, the middle one does nothing.The rubber holding the remote to the keyring is very worn and keeps breaking so I bought a new square remote off ebay.

(http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/forums/198/147444.html?start=28 ) I got to the green button, but when I pressed and held it, nothing happened. The security light didn't light up with the key in ACC and with the ignition on. I held the button repeatedly but no joy.Does anyone have any ideas?
