Would it be ok to just cut the wires off the siren and would it cause other issues?

for no reason and the only way to stop it sounding is to disconnect the battery.
I got to the siren but couldn't release the connector.
If I just cut all the wires of the siren will this work.
I'm worried about the car not working if I do this.
Urgent help please as it's a right royal pain in the ar$e right now.
